Megahunt 86-Box Reference Solution: Making Whole-Home Smart Living "Within Reach"

2026-08-04

In recent years, smart home technology has continuously evolved toward whole-home intelligence. The 86 control panel (86-box) has become a central element of the smart home hub, thanks to its easy installation and adaptability to whole-home scenarios. It enables one-touch control of air conditioning and fresh-air temperature regulation, while also managing whole-home lighting on/off, brightness adjustment, and smart curtain operation—making whole-home smart living truly "within reach."

Addressing the development needs of smart home control terminals, Megahunt has introduced the 86-box control panel reference solution. Built on a high-performance display-driven MCU, the solution integrates rich display interfaces, a comprehensive software ecosystem, and flexible hardware adaptability—helping customers rapidly complete smart panel product development, effectively supporting whole-home scenario linkage, and accelerating the large-scale deployment of smart terminals.

Reference Solution Overview

The Megahunt 86-box reference solution adopts the MH2457 series MCU as the main control chip, meeting the demands of smart home control terminals for high-performance display, stable communication, and rich feature expansion.

The solution supports temperature and humidity data collection with real-time display, and optional radar sensing for automatic panel activation when a person approaches. It also supports network connectivity and RS485 wiring, enabling both local touch control and remote smartphone control—easily integrating into the smart home ecosystem to achieve interconnectivity of all home devices.

Solution Advantages

Focused on development efficiency, system performance, and cost control, the Megahunt 86-box reference solution offers the following advantages:

1. Low Development Barrier, Compatible with Mainstream Visualization Tools

The underlying layer has been adapted to the mainstream LVGL V8/V9.2 graphics framework, and supports GUI development tools such as Gui Guider and SquareLine Studio. Developers can quickly complete UI design and interface debugging, effectively shortening the project R&D cycle.

2. Single Power Supply, Reduced System Cost

The solution adopts a single power supply architecture, reducing the number of peripheral components and lowering BOM cost.

3. Real-Time Clock (RTC) Support

The integrated RTC function meets application needs such as time display, scheduled control, and scenario linkage, providing richer feature expansion capabilities for smart home products.

4. Fast Boot, Quick Response

The system supports fast power-on boot within 100ms, quickly entering the working state upon startup to deliver a smooth user experience.

5. Rich Display Interfaces, Flexible Screen Adaptation

Supports multiple display interfaces including QSPI, RGB, and MIPI LCD, allowing flexible selection of screen solutions based on different product positioning to meet various size and resolution display requirements.
